Postage and packing charges are something of a Bugbear of ours. We hate being overcharged postage and remember vividly challenging one firm on the cost of sending a small order to us and being told “well, how else do you expect us to make a profit on postage!” We aim to be as transparent as possible.
TARV models will never seek to make a profit from Postage & Packing rates. However we are a very small company and we can’t afford to subsidise postage either. We will simply charge you what it costs to send the goods to you. If you doubt our word then check the postage costs on your parcel. We make no additional charge for packaging materials, time to put your order together or time taken to post it. Those things are already factored into our business model.
This position does make calculating postage on the website a challenge. All figure orders will be at least a “Large Letter” (in the words of the Post Office) due to their depth. However, we can send up to 100g of figures for the same price as one.
Likewise, a Land Rover model, due to its size and packaging requirements is a “Small Parcel” to the Post Office. But we could send you a second vehicle and lots of figures for the same price.
The answer is simple. The more you order from us the better value the postage is!
